Devin Lima Of LFO Dies At 41

The group scored a hit in 1999 with their song “Summer Girls.”
Cronin died of leukemia in 2010 and Lima and Fischetti went on to become a duo, releasing the single “Perfect 10” last summer.
It was Fischetti who shared last year that Lima has been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer.
“Devin asked me to give you this update without him because, frankly, he’s just not feeling very well,” Fischetti said in a video released to fans. “But, he asked me to send you his love and gratitude for all the love and prayers you guys have sent his way.”
Lima had been hospitalized after surgeons removed a tumor from his adrenal gland.

An update on Devin. What’s up guys, Brad here.  I just left the hospital.  Devin is in a tremendous amount of pain, but like he said, it was expected.  The doctors are working to manage his pain and to help him get some rest.  They are also monitoring his kidney function and vitals closely.  We should have the pathology report back next week.  Please continue to pray for NO CANCER.  Despite the struggles, Devin’s spirits are good.  The desire to get back to music drives him.  As soon as he is home he’ll be back in the studio writing and producing.  As soon as his diaphragm is healed, he will start singing again.  When the doctors give him the green light, we will start rehearsing again with the band.  And when Devin is back to 100%, we will hit the road again.  And then together with you, and Rich from above, we will rock every venue in each city as hard as we physically can.  We look forward to sharing the next chapter of this LFO experience with you.  Many thanks for your love and prayers. – Brad & Devin

Earlier this month, Fischetti posted some memories on the band’s Instagram page.

Last night we sat on the porch, enjoying the cool fall evening and reminiscing on the Rich in Love Tour. We both agree that it was among the best and most fun experiences we have ever had. Bittersweet because Rich wasn’t with us, although we know he was with us in spirit. Beautiful because we got to tour again with our 4th member and brother, Mike Caputo. Couple that with the fact that we were touring with some of our favorite people in Floyd, Alan, Craig, Cassese, Mika, Kyle, The Duprees, and Fish. We are so thankful to YOU for coming out to see us play and for giving us some of the best memories of our lives. Here are some of our favorite pics from the tour with Caputo and a throw back circa 2001. You’ll see our good good friend Joe Kelly in one of the pics, too. Much love to you and many many thanks for helping us realize dreams. ❤️
